To make your fine jewelry last longer, you need to take extra care of it. Fine jewelry is such as beautiful item that it will be well worth your time and effort to take care of them and preserve its beauty and shine.

So what are some of the ways that you can do to preserve the overall condition of your jewelry?

1. Clean it after use. Soak for 15 minutes in a solution of 2 cups warm water and a few drops of mild dish washing detergents. Gently scrub with a soft-bristle toothbrush. Rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth or tissue.

2. Polish it. You should polish your fine jewelry occasionally so as to preserve its shine and beauty. With constant polishing, you will also be able to make your fine jewelry shines brighter. One thing to note is not to polish your jewelry too often. When you are polishing, metals from your jewelry will be removed, which will reduce its overall condition. Polish your jewelry once every 3 months to be safe.

3. Store it in a jewelry box. Do not let your jewelry lying around the room. Store them in their respective jewelry box. Do not lump all your jewelry together in a box as this will cause wear and tear when stones scratches against each other. You will also not want chains to be caught in tangle as this will likely cause some sort of damages to your jewelry.

After years, if you find that the overall condition of your jewelry has worsen a lot, you should bring your jewelry to a competent jeweler to recondition it.
